Dr. DaMia Harris-Madden will serve as Executive Director of the Westchester County’s Youth Bureau.

​​The Youth Bureau oversees programs and services to benefit youth ages 14-24 throughout the Westchester County. Working closely with nonprofit organizations and local youth bureaus, the goal of this agency is to promote positive youth development and to encourage healthy lifestyles.

​While in graduate school at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, Soror J'nelle had the opportunity to work on a documentary about the life and legacy of Dr. Maya Angelou. The film titled "Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise" has won a prestigious
​Peabody Award for excellence in documentary film-making.

The film is available on PBS and on Netflix.

Whitney Smith of White Plains, is an ELA Teacher at Bronx Preparatory Charter School. Smith creates, monitors and sustains a disciplined school culture of high academic and behavioral standards, evaluating academic achievement through a detailed data analysis of student performance​
